Is ceramic coating scratch-proof?
No - and anyone who tells you it is, is selling. A coating shrugs off wash marring, chemical etching, and UV, but it won't stop a rock chip or a key. If chips are your worry, that's paint protection film - and we'll tell you straight which one your car actually needs.
How long does it really last?
The durations on our packages are ones we've watched survive San Diego sun and coastal air on client cars - not lab numbers. The two things that make them real: proper prep before the coating goes on, and washing it the way the care guide describes.
Do I still have to wash the car?
Yes - a coating isn't a force field, it's a release layer. Dirt still lands, it just lets go with a rinse instead of a scrub. Washes get faster, safer, and much further apart.
Why not just wax it?
Wax sits on top of the paint and dies in six to eight weeks - faster near the coast. A ceramic coating bonds chemically to the clear coat and is measured in years. Over the life of the car, the coating is usually the cheaper option.
